Introduction to rowing


Pre-requisite: Ability to Swim

Coach: John Boyd & Louise Smith

Our goal is to provide you with the basic skills so that you can row enjoyably and safely for life.

You will learn basic sculling technique (rowing with two oars) and practice balance in small, stable sculling boats. We focus on teaching the stroke, proper hand levels, boat maneuvering, as well as care of boat and equipment.

Five classes of 1.5 hours each.
